SEA & SEA MDX-80D UNDERWATER HOUSING FOR CANON EOS 80D

You can capture the beauty of sea life and environments at depths as great as 328', thanks to the SEA & SEA MDX-80D UNDERWATER HOUSING FOR CANON EOS 80D. It is equipped with dual fiber-optic cable ports for attaching optional, external strobes to improve your lighting, and accepts an optional N-Type 2-pin sync cord connector for the same purpose. Ergonomic, mechanical controls, including levers, push-buttons, and dials, provide access to virtually all camera functions, while dual side grips offer better balance and handling and give you attachment points for lighting arms.

Built for durability, the housing is constructed from precision-machined aluminum that has been anodized for resistance to corrosion. As a bonus, advancements in the machining method have allowed this housing to be made lighter in weight than previous enclosures. An optional leak sensor alerts you immediately in the unlikely event of a breach in the waterproof seal. CONTROLS, HANDLING, AND OPERATION

• Important controls such as ISO, AF-ON, and Start-Stop may be activated and deactivated more easily due to redesigned levers
• The main dial, quick control dial, diopter adjustment dial, and live view/movie lever have spring-loaded dampers for secure operation
• Buttons spaced apart for easy operation, even when wearing diving gloves
• When the focus/zoom dial is pulled out, the gear inside the housing will move outward to allow lenses with large diameters to be mounted easily
• Dual comfortable side grips offer better balance and handling and give you attachment points for lighting arms

OPTICAL VIEWFINDERS

• Optional VF180 and VF45 1.2x viewfinders can be added on to enhance your view through the camera's finder for better shot composition underwater
• VF180 straight prism finder can be attached by replacing original VF, and will not sacrifice field of view
• VF180 contains 8 elements in 6 groups, which help reproduce natural colors
• VF45 prism finder offers the same 1.2x magnification and a full field of view, and rotates 360° in increments of 90°
• VF45 is especially designed for situations where the subject is below you, such as in macro work
