LED Technology with Outstanding Efficiency

The Video 8XR is equipped with a latest-generation LED with a color temperature of 5,600 Kelvin. The spectral power distribution is exceptionally even, resulting in a color rendering index of 96 CRI (Ra). A unique feature is the variable power output with 9 brightness settings, allowing you to adjust the brightness from 11 to 360 watts for maximum flexibility.

Soft 110° Beam

The light uses a carefully designed reflector and dome lens to produce a wide, smooth, and speckle-free beam without hot spots. The beam angle (full width at half maximum) is 110° underwater and 120° in air, providing even illumination for wide-angle photography and videography.

Self-Contained Design

The self-contained design makes the Video 8XR easy to use without requiring a separate battery canister or special mounting system. The included bracket with a ball mount allows quick and secure attachment to standard underwater arm systems.

Small and Lightweight

The compact design is optimized for portability while maintaining exceptional performance. The complete light weighs only 2.9 kg on land and has a wet weight of just 0.65 kg, making it easy to transport and comfortable to use underwater.

Tough Design

The durable LED offers an almost unlimited service life and cannot break like traditional bulbs. Integrated overtemperature protection allows safe operation both underwater and in air. The protection circuit continuously monitors the housing temperature and automatically limits power output when necessary to keep the light operating within a safe temperature range.

Travel-Safe Li-Ion Battery

The Video 8XR is powered by three 99Wh (14.4V) Li-Ion batteries that provide high-capacity performance while remaining travel friendly. Each battery has successfully passed the mandatory UN38.3 safety test required by IATA and is certified for air travel, as each individual battery remains below the 100Wh airline limit.

The batteries feature built-in protection against over-discharge, deep discharge, over-current, and short circuits. The included charger supports 110V–240V AC for worldwide compatibility.

Charge Display

A green charge level indicator provides a quick overview of the remaining battery capacity. The two-digit display shows the remaining runtime in minutes while the light is in use (for example, "18" indicates 18 minutes remaining). When connected to the charger, the display shows the remaining charging time in 10-minute increments (for example, "18" indicates approximately 180 minutes until fully charged).
